KOCHI: In an attempt to evade long pending appointments to meet the doctor, KIMS Hospital has launched a new programme, ‘Doctor on the Spot.’Under the programme, doctors and nurses who are fully equipped with an ambulance and other facilities including ICU services, will be made just a call away from people at home as well as on roads. The moving hospitals are for the patients who are unable to reach the hospital during emergency situations.The venture was inaugurated by MLA Benny Behanan at KIMS Hospital in Edappally on Monday. The service will be operational in Thrikkakara, Edappally, Kaloor, Eloor upto Edappally. The service will later be extended to other parts of the Corporation.
