ONGOLE: A seven-member high power committee, led by Paradeep Port Trust chairman C Jagannadha Rao, visited the site of port  proposed at Ramayapatnam in Ulavapadu mandal of Prakasam district on Saturday.District collector Kantilal Dande made a Powerpoint presentation on the port project to the committee and submitted a report to it. Later, the committee visited the seashore of Ramayapatnam and interacted with villagers. The Centre has proposed to construct three ports in Andhra Pradesh. The proposed ports are at Nakkapalli near Vizag, Durgarajupatnam near Nellore and Ramayapatnam near Ulavapadu.
