BANGALORE: The Annual United Charities Bazaar is organising an event whereby it will discuss issues, and address the needs of NGO’s, charities and promote each one of their causes like human rights, food issues, children’s education, women’s empowerment, animal causes on December 10 at Corporation Play Ground, opposite St Charles School, Lingarajpuram Main road. It is excepted to witness participation of a host of other unprecedented 70 charities at this Bazaar. The aim of the bazaar runs much deeper than just providing an opportunity and platform. “We subscribe to the adage that teaching a man to fish is the only way to ensure that he never goes hungry,” says the director of Provision India, the organisers of the Bazaar this year. He fyrther added, “Giving to charity is something that is seen as generous, responsible, and extremely caring. Many people donate money to certain charities that they hold close to them. Others will chip in their piece of charity by completing volunteer work at CSR programmes or working at a homeless shelter, or even volunteering at a local school to teach. However, in today’s world, as economic situations are tough and less people have the extra time or money to donate to charity it is even more important that we show we care by helping others through charitable causes.”“We also have a volunteer programme through which volunteers from different walks of life get involved, despite their otherwise busy schedules, just for the joy of helping others,” informs Stephen Dass, the organiser of the bazaar.United Charities Bazaar is a great way to donate a little bit of your time and it allows charities from all over India to set up stalls whose profits are used entirely to provide for those in need.
