KOCHI: Kerala Strikers cricket team coach Chandrasenan has said that actor Prithviraj has been ousted from the team for failing to attend the practice sessions. The actor will miss the first two matches of the team in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). Earlier, actor Asif Ali was also dropped from the team.Prithviraj missed the entire training camp even after promising to join the evening training sessions. The actor informed the team officials that he was busy with his shooting schedule. Sources in the team said Asif Ali does not even have the chance to return to the team as he not only missed all the practice sessions but also failed to inform the officials about it. The 16-member team for the Kerala Strikers’ first match in the CCL will be declared on Thursday. Mohanlal will lead the team and Indrajith will be the vice-captain. Indrajith will open the batting for Kerala Strikers, most probably with “Malarvadi Arts Club” fame Nivin Poly. The team will take on Chennai Rhinos in Hyderabad on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Strikers lost the last two practice matches played against Kerala Veterans cricket team. But, the players are confident that they fought well against a team of experienced cricketers. The ticket distribution for the home match to be played on January 22 began on Wednesday. Tickets are available through different fans associations and shopping centres.
