Making a strong pitch for Sanskrit language, Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi on Thursday called upon scholars of the ancient language to explore ways to restore its glory in today's computer era.
Giving his consent for a two-day Sanskrit conference in Dehradun on May 20-21, the governor said the ancient Indian language from which many languages of the world had originated needs to be taken to people and made a language of every day communication.
He said the conference in which Sanskrit scholars from all over the country are likely to participate should deliberate on methods to re-establish the language in today's computer era.
The two-day conference is being held at Raj Bhawan auditorium in Dehradun by the Haridwar based Sanskrit University at the initiative of the governor.
