Mumbai: Noted filmmaker Sudhakar Bokade died due to a heart attack at a city hospital, family sources said today. He was 57.
Bokade was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri two days ago due to breathing problems. He passed away last night after a heart attack, his son Krishna told PTI.
Both Krishna and his father had gone to Malaysia for some work and while returning, Bokade complained of difficulty in breathing following which he was hospitalised.
Bokade produced films like Salman Khan-Madhuri Dixit-Sanjay Dutt-starrer 'Saajan', Nana Patekar's Prahaar, Saif Ali Khan's 'Sanam Teri Kasam' and Ajay Devgn's 'Dhanwaan' among others.
He is survived by daughters Divya and Kiran and son Krishna.
Bokade's last rites were performed this afternoon at Oshiwara crematorium with family and close friends.
