HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad zone of AP State Road Transport Corporation has incurred a loss of Rs 52 crore due to the recent Sakala Janula Samme, its executive director Purusotham Naik has said.
Participating in RTC Fortnight celebrations held at the Transport Academy at Hakimpet on Tuesday, he advised employees to ruonal income and to increase the buses' occupancy rate. He said the managementn buses at least 2,000 km additionally to gain additi would pay Rs 1.50 paise as incentive to the driver and conductor for every additional kilometre run. He said spare buses would be operated for regular service to get additional income. Regional managers, divisional managers, depot managers and other officers were present.

Naik said the corporation decided to operate special buses to Deccan Pancha Siva Kshetras on Kartika Mondays, November 13 and 20. The buses will leave from different places at 2 pm on November 12 and 19. It will cover Rajarajeswara temple at Vemulawada, Mukteswara temple at Kaleswaram, Ramalingeswara temple, Thousand Pillar temple at Hanumakonda and Somanatha temple at Palakurti.
The fare will be `650 per head.
