Filmmaker Selvaraghavan has approached a Chennai court, seeking anticipatory bail for him. The director said he fears arrest over a complaint filed against him by producer Chandrasekar.
According to Selvaraghavan, he had received a sum from the producer to direct a film titled 'Kasimedu'. "Since the project did not take off, I returned the money to Chandrasekar," he said.
Selvaraghavan added that the producer was not ready to put the issue to rest. Inexplicably, he filed a complaint with the police and hence, Selvaraghavan has filed for an anticipatory bail.
The director is currently busy giving finishing touches to his magnum opus 'Irandam Ulagam', which has Arya and Anushka Shetty in lead roles.
He has a film lined up with Rana Daggubati, which will be a Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual. It will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
