KOCHI: The Paravoor police on Sunday marked the arrest of four people including an agent, her son and daughter who were taken into custody from Kozhikode on Saturday. The arrested are Umabhai 37, her son Safique 23, daughter Safana, 13, and Abdul Jaffer, 23. The police officials said that Umabhai was a co-agent of Sobha John who supplied girls to people on demand. According to the police officials, the arrested took the minor girl to many tourist places and allegedly abused her. The arrested were presented before the Paravoor First class Magistrate and was remanded in judicial custody.Paravoor CI K G Babu Kumar told Express that the police have intensified the search for Sobha John, the first accused in the case. The police have also made move to trace her mobile phones and she will be arrested soon.
