Filmmaker Kiran Rao has released the film in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures.
Mumbai: Director Anand Gandhi's 'Ship of Theseus', that released in just five cities, collected Rs 25.46 lakh on the opening weekend.
Made on a budget of Rs 2.5 crore (with print and advertising), it released Friday in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad.
'Ship of Theseus' did a business of Rs. 11.05 lakh Sunday, Rs. 9.20 lakh on Saturday and Rs. 5.21 lakh Friday. That's a total of Rs. 25.46 lakh, said a statement.

The story in 'Ship of Theseus' talks about human values and features three characters - an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and a stock broker.
Now, the film will release in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kochi on demand.
