The BJP Rajya Sabha member told NRIs the state held great promise in agriculture, health and infrastructure.

Patna: Actor and BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha is hard-selling Bihar among non-resident Indians living in the US, making a strong case for investing in the state.

Popularly called 'Bihari Babu', Sinha addressed NRIs at a fundraising dinner for cancer patients last night in Tennessee along with noted singer Pankaj Udhas and legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar.

He told PTI over phone that he saw a "keenness" among people to know more about Bihar.

The BJP Rajya Sabha member told NRIs the state held great promise in agriculture, health and infrastructure.

Sinha claimed that during his interactions with Indians settled in the US, people acknowledged the positive changes in the state with the installation of the NDA government headed by Nitish Kumar, but were worried about the frequent incidents of kidnapping.

He hoped the diaspora would come up with concrete investment proposals for Bihar.

Sinha said he told the NRIs that he himself had sent two investment proposals to the state government for constructing a film city and a five star hotel.
