BANGALORE: The police team from Bangalore city police found similarity in the bomb materials used in the blast places in Bangalore and Mumbai.A team of officers including Joint Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar was sent to Mumbai to gather and exchange information on the recent serial bomb attacks in Mumbai and found the similarity.The team comprised of Alok Kumar, ACP Nyamegowda and Inspectors Ashokan and Siddappa.Source said that Alok Kumar went to the spot with the team and verified the area where the bomb explosions took place.The Joint Commissioner was in Mumbai for a day as the other officers are there since three days.Sources said that the team had compared the explosions in the area with the explosions in Bangalore at eight places in 2008 and two explosions at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.However, they could not gain much information as the areas in Mumbai are affected by heavy rain.Source said that the explosive substance used in the bombs that were recovered from the places of blasts in Bangalore are used in the recent Mumbai blasts.The substance Ammonium Nitrate with the ‘Raja jel-90’ were used in the Ahmedabad, Delhi, Varanasi and recent Mumbai blasts.
