If you’re a fan of the 2009 romantic comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, there is some good news for you. The film’s producers have announced that the memorable film is set to re-release in theatres on October 25. With Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani was a box-office success and was appreciated by fans for its heartwarming story and chart-bursting music. The film tells the story of Prem (Ranbir) who falls in love with a Christian girl, Jenny (Katrina), in Goa, resulting in a series of humorous events.
Announcing the rerelease, a post on Tips Instagram read, “Celebrate love and friendship as Prem and Jenny return to cinemas! #AjabPremKiGhazabKahani re-releasing in cinemas on October 25th.”
Soon after the post, many fans shared their excitement over the re-release in the comments section, while some reflected on the nostalgia it evoked.

The movie also features Sai Pallavi, KGF fame Yash and Sunny Deol, among others. The actor is also gearing up for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal Park and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif was last seen in the thriller Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sehupati.
With no major releases until Diwali, it is a good chance for fans to enjoy the 2009 rom-com again with friends and families. The past months have seen an emerging trend of re-release of memorable films. Some of them that hit the theatres again were Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Laila Majnu, Rockstar and Veer Zaara. Notably, Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad earned more during its re-release than it did during its original run, which earned Rs 12.5 crore. It became the highest-grossing film in a re-release with Rs 29 crore, as per Sacnilk.
