Students honour Poovachal Khader

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The students and teachers of the Government High School, Kalady here honoured poet and lyricist Poovachal Khader at a function held in the school on Friday.  The function was organised under the auspices of the Vidyarangam Club and Malayalam Club of the school. The students and teachers sung the songs penned by Khader. An interaction programme was also held, in which the poet shared his experiences with the students.  The students presented CDs of short films and the anti-war album made by them. Khader congratulated the students and teachers for their interest in art and culture.  Ward councillor K Krishnankutty inaugurated the felicitation function. PTA president N Selvakumar presided over. Headmistress S Seethalakshmy and retired teacher M T Mathai presented mementos to the poet. Vidyarangam convener K S Anitha and B Ajayakumar spoke.
