Submit poll expense details

PUDUCHERRY: Candidates in the by-election to the Indira Nagar constituency must show their election expenditure register either in person, through an election agent or any other person authorised by the candidate before the returning officer (RO) at least three times during their campaign period, said District Election Officer (DEO) and collector Dr S B Deepak Kumar in a press release on Wednesday.The candidates may submit their expenditure on October 2, October 6 and October 11 between 10 am and 5 pm. In addition, the candidates are required to show their expenditure registers the expenditure observer Kumar Sanjay (Mobile no: 9442143808, 0413-2271283) on October 3, 7 and 12, at the office of the RO at labour department in Gandhi Nagar. The DEO said that in case any candidate failed to show his accounts, action would be taken against the candidate under section 171-1 of Indian Penal Code.
