Tatas new rehabilitation plan

JAJPUR: In a bid to win over the last remaining pockets of resistance by locals to its greenfield steel plant project at Kalinga Nagar, Tata Steel has now given the project-affected people an opportunity to settle in the locality of their choice in the region.The company has started development of a rehabilitation and resettlement set-up at Ramthenga, about 5 km from Duburi. The location was chosen by the displaced families who did not want to live in the  designated rehabilitation colonies at Trijanga, Sansailo and Gobarghati. As many as 31 families have opted for resettlement at Ramathenga.  The families have been extended financial support for purchase of plots.
