TDP dares Jagan to open debate on his assets

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) took objection to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s followers attributing motives to High Court’s decision to seek a CBI report on his illegal assets. “The High Court is acting on the illegal assets of Jagan. It is unfair to attribute motives to the court. If Jagan wants to prove his innocence he should take legal recourse,” TDP leader A Revanth Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday.Instead of proving their honesty, Jagan’s followers were attributing motives to court, Revanth Reddy said.It may be recalled that YSR Congress leaders Sabbam Hari and Ambati Rambabu had  cast aspersions on the court on Tuesday. Revanth Reddy also found fault with the YSR Congress leaders for alleging that Congress and TDP colluded in filing cases against Jagan. It was ridiculous for them to blame the TDP when the court reacted on Jagan’s illegal assets, he said. He recalled that TDP was the only party which fought against the corruption of YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the last seven years. “Except the judiciary all other departments were diluted by Rajasekhara Reddy,” Revanth Reddy said.He dared Jagan for an open debate on his assets. Jagan would face the same fate as DMK leader Raja. If he feels he was honest, he should appeal in higher courts, but not attribute motives to the court, Revanth Reddy said.On Ghulam Nabi Azad’s statement on T, Revanth Reddy said: ‘’Azad was not even recognised in his own state. We will not give much value to his statements.”
