New Delhi: Director Joss Whedon's superhero film 'The Avengers' has set another record. It has become the second highest grosser in the history of US box office and has beaten 'Titanic' in the race. James Cameron's 'Avatar' is on the top of the highest grossing films list.
Film critic Taran Adarsh lately tweeted, "#TheAvengers becomes 2nd biggest grosser in the history of USA BO. Total: $ 606.2 million. Crosses #Titanic $ 600.7 million."
Produced by Marvel Studios, 'The Avengers' is based on the Marvel Comics superheroes trying to save the Earth. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L Jackson are in the star cast of the film. The film managed to live up to the hype and attained positive reviews from the critics. Right from its script to visual effects, 'The Avengers' took the audience by storm.
