BANGALORE: A mother knows best about her child. As another Mother’s Day comes by, Cloudnine comes forward with a carnival, the annual event for expectant mothers. Cloundnine was back with a carnival on a much bigger scale. The highlight of the event of this carnival was first of its calendar featuring expectant mothers which was followed by a fashion show by would-be-mothers.The Carnival coincided with the fifth anniversary celebrations of the hospital. In addition to special events for would-be-mothers, there were contests and activities for their babies, their siblings and parents.Commenting on the Carnival, Dr Kishore Kumar, CEO and MD of Cloudnine, said, “It has been a year of new beginnings. Our motto of ‘We Deliver your Dreams’ does not end with childbirth. It is obviously birthing and beyond. This year to we are pampering our would-be-mothers and families on the occasion of Mother’s day.” The Calendar featuring expectant mothers was a initiative which involved 12 lucky pregnant women, who were selected earlier through a contest in January. All the calendar mothers were present during the calendar launch with their babies. Speaking on the occasion a pregnant mother who was featured in the calendar said, “I thank the hospital for giving me this opportunity. Me and my baby will always cherish this forever.”The sponsors of the event were Club Mahindra, At my Door Step and Meri Yaadein Photo studios. Questions relating to motherhood were asked to the audience and exciting prizes were given away. The day-long celebrations witnessed innovative contests for infants such as ‘The Look Alike’ a contest to choose the babies that share the best resemblance with their parents; ‘Daddy Change my Nappy’- a contest for doting fathers. Several contests were hosted for children between the age groups of six months to one year, 1-2 years and 3-5 years.
