THRISSUR: A host of senior BJP leaders, including Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Anandakumar, P Muralidhar Rao, Ramlal, Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar would attend the party’s three-day state conference to be held in Thrissur on May 10, BJP state general secretary K P Sreeshan has said.BJP state president V Muraleedharan will hoist the party flag on May 9. The flag for the conference would be brought in a procession from the Smriti Mandapam of K G Marar at Payyambalam in Kannur. Flag mast march to the conference will begin from T N Bharathan Smriti Mandapam in Nilambur. The BJP state office-bearers’ conference and party state meet will be held at the conference venue on May 10 and 11, respectively.On May 12, a march will be held in the cultural capital and about one-lakh party workers are expected to participate in it. A public meeting will follow the march to be inaugurated by Opposition Leader in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj.On May 13, BJP president Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate a delegates’ conference in which about 1,500 delegates from all over the state will participate.A draft detailing the party’s future course of action in the state would be made out in the state conference. B Gopalakrishnan and A Nagesh were also present at the press conference.
