Aeration
Next comes Aeration which is a significant way to ensure the freshness of the pulse. Not only does the method help in reducing insect problems during storage but keeps it fresh for a long. Under this method, all you need to do is air the pulses from time to time. Additionally, keep them in the sunlight for some time.
Roast the Pulses
Another way to keep bugs away from your pulses is to dry roast them before storing them in your glass jar. To prevent the pulses from getting infected, add a pinch of dry red chilli to the jar.
Garlic Cloves
Take some unpeeled garlic cloves and place them in the lentil container. Stir them well. Do not forget to remove them once they have dried. You can also replace the pulses with other buds. Using this hack will keep your pulses safe and protected from insects for a long time.
