5 Theatrical Releases Set To Stream On OTT This September

Many films across the country have released in August which has delighted the audiences with either the story or the performances of the actors. From Stree 2 to Demonte Colony 2, the list is too long to begin with.

Here is a list of new movies that hit theatres in August and are set to release on different OTT platforms in September:

Raghu Thatha:

This comedy-drama, directed by Suman Kumar, stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead role alongside M.S. Bhaskar, Devadarshini, Ravindra Vijay, Ananda Samy, and others. Released in theatres on August 15, the film received mixed reactions. Fans can stream this movie on Zee5 starting September 13.

Thangalaan:

Directed by Pa. Ranjith, this Tamil action-adventure film features Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Malavika Mohanan. Released on August 15, it has earned approximately Rs. 69 crore, with an additional Rs. 18 crore from overseas. The movie is set to release on Netflix on September 20.

Stree 2:

A Hindi-language comedy-horror film, Stree 2 is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios. Released on August 15, it stars Rajkumar Rao, Tamannah Bhatia, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Akshay Kumar. This sequel is slated to release on Amazon Prime on September 27.

Vaazhai:

Directed by Mari Selvaraj, this Tamil-language children’s drama film revolves around the struggles of villagers involved in a Banyan tree business. The film stars Dhivya Dhuraisamy, Nikhila Vimal, Priyanka, and Kalaiyarasan. It was released in theatres on August 23 and will stream on Disney Hotstar from September 27.

Demonte Colony 2:

This Tamil-language supernatural horror thriller, directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, is a sequel to “Demonte Colony.” Released on August 15, it stars Arulnithi, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Archana Ravichandran, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, and Meenakshi Govindarajan. The movie will be available on Zee5 starting September 27.

These films, which premiered in theatres last month, are now gearing up to make their digital debut, offering audiences a chance to catch up on highly anticipated releases from the comfort of their homes.
