Amitabh Bachchan revealed he watched the match between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals on Monday night.

Amitabh Bachchan confessed he watched Mumbai Indians lose yet again. The superstar, who seems to be a big fan of MI, revealed he watched the team face Rajasthan Royals on Monday. Mumbai Indians batted first, scoring 179 runs in 20 overs. They had lost 9 wickets. With a target of 180 set for RR, the Sanju Samson led team won the match with 9 wickets and 8 balls left.

Following the match, Amitabh took to X and revealed that he watched the match and was off to sleep. He chose not to comment about the loss. “I have watched the IPL match, now heading to sleep,” he said in Hindi.

Earlier this month, Amitabh Bachchan made his way to the Wankhede Stadium to watch Mumbai Indians clash with Rajasthan Royals. That night too, MI had lost to RR. Amitabh appeared disappointed as he left the the stadium after the match.

Amitabh had also confessed on his blog that he was sad that MI lost that night. “Got in late from the game IPL .. MI v RR .. and disappointed at MI loss , so grieved and retired .. but now ready for another day and another living ..” he wrote on his blog.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Ganapath – A Hero Is Born. The film was headlined by Tiger Shroff and also starred Kriti Sanon. The film did not work at the box office. The veteran actor will now be seen in Kalki 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars acclaimed actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in significant roles. Santhosh Narayanan serves as the music director and the high-budget production is helmed by C Ashwani Dutt, associated with the esteemed Vyjayanthi Movies banner. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on May 8 this year.

He is also currently shooting for his Tamil debut film, Vettaiyan aka Thalaivar 170. The film is headlined by Rajinikanth and Big B plays a pivotal role in the film. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Bachchan and Rajinikanth have wrapped the Mumbai schedule of the shoot.
