Ankita Lokhande’s Bigg Boss 17 journey wasn’t easy. In Salman Khan’s show, she had several major fights and arguments with her husband, Vicky Jain. The actress was often also accused of being possessive towards her husband and insecure about his friendships with co-contestants Mannara Chopra and Ayesha Khan.
Now that the show has ended, in a recent interview, Ankita revealed how Bigg Boss 17 took a toll on her mental health. She was speaking to the news agency PTI recently when she shared that she was never an overthinker before Bigg Boss 17. Ankita argued that even though it might take time, she will “recover” from it.
“I feel I need to recover from that because it’s taken a toll on my mental health. I was never a deep thinker but the situations were such that I became one. I’m trying to recover, and understand a few things of what has happened in my life. It will take time but eventually I’ll come out of it,” Ankita said.
“Vicky is there, my family, my mom and everybody from Vicky’s family is also there but eventually it’s about how I take things and move on. I’m trying to cope with things,” the 39-year-old actress added.
Bigg Boss 17 concluded on January 28, 2024. Ankita Lokhande was the third runner-up of the show, which was won by Munawar Faruqui. During the interaction, she shared that even though her eviction was “shocking”, she was not “upset” about it.
“But when I learnt about my eviction, I was quite okay with that. I was not upset, I was shocked. I thought I had a fandom that was supporting me but I think somewhere it was lacking. I have enjoyed the journey,” Ankita said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ankita Lokhande will soon be sharing the screen with Randeep Hooda in the upcoming movie, Veer Savarkar. Besides this, there are rumours that Ektaa Kapoor has also approached the actress for the next season of her hit show, Naagin. However, there is no official confirmation to this as of now.
