Mohanlal is one of the most legendary actors in Malayalam cinema. He has many hits to his acting credit. He is now making headlines, as he is all set to make his directorial debut with the 3D fantasy drama film titled Barroz. A behind-the-scenes video from the movie set has now gone viral. It is currently garnering everyone’s attention. In the video, Mohanlal is seen both in front and behind the camera. He is mainly seen directing the whole crew with the various sequences on the set. The clip also shared glimpses of the actor-turned-director guiding the entire team at various different shooting locations. The BTS clip was shared on the YouTube channel Aashirvad Cinemas.
The clip was shared yesterday and has until now garnered 3,91,853 views on YouTube. Seeing the video, fans shared their excitement in the comment box. Barroz is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language fantasy film. It is based on the novel Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure by Jijo Punnoose. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas.
It stars Mohanlal in the titular role, along with Maya, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Tuhin Menon, and Guru Somasundaram in significant supporting roles. The music score for the film was composed by Mark Kilian, with songs penned by Lydian Nadhaswaram. Kalavoor Ravikumar was brought on as the dialogue writer.
The majority of filming was shot in Kochi and Goa, with two tracks shot in Bangkok and Chennai. The film was shot in 3D. According to the latest report, Barroz is said to be released in August 2024. No official confirmation regarding the release date has been given.
Mohonlal was last seen in the epic action drama film, Malaikottai Vaaliban. The film was written by PS Rafeeque from a story by Pellissery. The movie stars Mohanlal in a dual role, alongside Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, Manoj Moses, Katha Nandi, and Manikandan R Achari in supporting roles.
