Chris Pratt recently shared a strong opinion for actors with negative behaviour during the New York Comic Con. While promoting his upcoming Netflix sci-fi film, The Electric State, alongside co-star Millie Bobby Brown and directors Joe and Anthony Russo, the Marvel star criticised those who bring bad attitudes on movie sets. However, Pratt praised Millie for her positive attitude both on and off the set. Meanwhile, the Guardian of the Galaxy actor explained that a bad attitude can ruin everyone’s experience and such people don’t usually succeed in the industry. Pratt encouraged such artists to enjoy their work instead of complaining. He believes they should be thankful for living their dream.
Pratt said, “Look, these guys can attest to this, because they’re the same way, like, there’s no room for s***ty attitudes there. You can’t have a bad attitude in moviemaking, it ruins everything for everyone and then you don’t last long. It sucks when people have a crappy attitude. So when you show up on set, there’s no reason why you should, like, ‘Oh, are you having a hard time living your dream? Is that tough for you today?’ Like, come on and pull your head out. Have fun.”
During the panel discussion, Chris Pratt also admired his Electric State co-star Millie Bobby Brown, saying, “She has such a huge heart, such a love for animals, such a love for her now husband, Jake, who was on set every day. They are these totally awesome and normal people who live extraordinary lives. And I can see the person in that, because I feel kind of the same way, in a way. And so we had a great time. We became fast friends, and you can’t get rid of me. Sorry. I’m very glad to have you as my friend.”
The Electric State, directed by the Russo brothers, is based on a novel by Simon Stalenhag. The film follows the journey of a young woman, Michelle, played by Millie Bobby Brown, who has a kind yet mysterious robot companion. Together, they join an unusual wanderer, played by Chris Pratt, and travel across a unique, futuristic version of the United States to search for Michelle’s younger brother.
Other than Chris and Millie, The Electric State also stars Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Hank Azaria, Colman Domingo and Alan Tudyk. The film is scheduled to release on Netflix on March 14, 2025.
