Bhangra is one of the famous dance forms of Punjab. The energetic dance is recognised all over the world. While there are many recognised dancers across the country known for their talent, a young woman, known as Bhangra Queen, has won the hearts of the audience with her performances. Recently, Nazm Kaur, the Bhangra Queen, was in Barmer, Rajasthan, where she visited for a day and shared her life experiences. The established dancer and choreographer earned the title from The Kapil Sharma Show, where Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Rakul Preet Singh hailed her as the Bhangra Queen.
Nazm Kaur recently stole the show and set the stage fire in August at the Edinburgh Art Festival. She has a double postgraduate degree in English and Kathak. She has also studied Music Arts Education under a scholarship. Nazm has performed in many shows of the renowned Diljit Dosanjh. However, her journey to success was riddled with difficulties. Currently, she is at the peak of the success.
As per Nazm Kaur, Bhangra is famous for its passionate energy, especially in men. But, this young woman has now mastered the dance form and is earning recognition through her craft. She has been associated with dance and its various forms from a very young age.
She is the daughter of Madhusudan, a choreographer, who had full faith in her and offered her support throughout her journey. Apart from dance, Nazm Kaur has also been great in her studies. Nazm Kaur had topped her examinations in 2011 and went on to receive a higher education in English from Delhi University. But music and dance were her calling. She decided to pursue her passion and today, she has created a niche for herself. She is recognised and left her marks in countries like Dubai, Singapore, China and even Europe. Now when she performs on the stage, she is greeted with a great round of applause, which speaks for her success in itself.
