Amitabh Bachchan and Dimple Kapadia have done a handful movies together. In the 1990s, Big B and Dimple starred in Ajooba (1990) and Mrityudaata (1997) together. While they were in Brahmastra (2022) as well, they did not have too many scenes together. While fans want to see more of each other, a fan dug out a rare photo of them together from a magazine photoshoot and presented it to Big B at his weekly Sunday Darshan gathering.
In the photo, Dimple and Amitabh were seen with Meenakshi Seshadri and Kimi Katkar. Dimple rested her head on his knee while they posed together. The fan submitted the photo to Amitabh and he returned it with an autograph on it. He shared the picture on his blog, along with several other submissions he received on Sunday. Although Amitabh did not comment on the photo, he expressed his gratitude towards fans who gathered outside his house — Jalsa — despite the rains and waterlogged streets in Mumbai. “Words fail me as well as the emotion to see the dedication despite the winds and rain , flooding the streets .. and the well wishers and the Ef brigade there in all their strength .. and love .. and all they wish for is to be noticed and given a personal recognition .. an autograph on the pictures they carry, that are drenched in not just the rain but by their love,” he said.
In Hindi, he wrote, “Aap sab badhaee ke paatr hain, ye sneh jo aap sab mujhe bhar poor dete hain isaka mere paas koee bhee varnan nahin hai, keval ye ki ye ek aisa bhaavuk qarz hai jise main lautaane ka prayatn bhee nahin soch sakata (You all deserve to be congratulated. I am speechless by your love and appreciation towards me. I will alway be indebted towards you’ll. I cannot even think of trying to return it).”
