Director Mani Ratnam and actress Suhasini are the stalwarts of their fields and have worked together in many hit films. They tied the knot on August 26, 1988, and credit each other for their massive success in their respective careers. A collage of their wedding pictures surfaced on Instagram in 2023. One of her fan pages of Suhasini uploaded on Instagram. Mani Ratnam had worn a simple kurta-pajama and Suhasini had donned a traditional bridal attire for their wedding. Suhasini’s fan club has credited an entertainment portal for the pictures.

Mani Ratnam and Suhasini had an interesting love story. In an interview with a portal, Suhasini recalled that when Mani Ratnam had approached her with the idea of a relationship, she had turned him down. The Swathi actress had clearly stated to him that she is a traditional girl and is only interested in marriage instead of relationships. The filmmaker was clear in his mind and heart and wasted no time in saying yes to the idea of marriage to Suhasini. The couple then married and were blessed with a baby boy, in 1992. The two had named him Nandan Maniratnam.
Suhasini talked more about her marriage in an interview with ABP. She said, “We have a good time. We have the moonlight and we have the breeze from the beach, and we have the best food available on Earth- South Indian food. And then we sit opposite each other and we enjoy the food and say how lucky we are. Very few people do that, I think, you know. We’re very happy with each other’s company and what the world has given us. We are not bored of each other yet.”
Suhasini has acted in many hit films like Indira, Nenjathai Killathe, and others. She last acted in the film Spark: L.I.F.E. directed by Vikranth Reddy. Mani Ratnam is looking forward to his upcoming film Thug Life as a director.
