Director Venkat Prabhu To Team Up with Actor Sivakarthikeyan For His Next

Director Venkat Prabhu is currently gearing up for the release of his next project titled GOAT (The Greatest Of All Time), featuring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. The much-anticipated film locked the date of September 5 for the release. As the release date approaches, he is involved in the extensive promotion of the film and recently went to Malaysia for the same. During the film’s promotion, he spilled beans about his next film. According to reports, the director’s next film will have Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The shooting for the next project will start once the actor completes his prior commitment. Sivakarthikeyan will reportedly be doing his 25th film with Venkat Prabhu, and this landmark film is expected to garner a lot of attention.

Venkat Prabhu said in an interview, “Yes, I am directing Sivakarthikeyan in my next movie. But, Sivakarthikeyan has a few commitments in line. He will only work with me after that. So there will be a small break, but I want that to be my next directorial outing.”

Sivakarthikeyan is currently awaiting the release of Amaran and filming for SK 23 with director AR Murugadoss, the shooting for the film has reached the final stage. It is said that he is next teaming up with Sudha Kongara after the current two films. The action entertainer Amaran is gearing up for a grand release and is slated to hit the big screens on October 31 on the occasion of Diwali.

It is also said that the film GOAT is likely to feature Sivakarthikeyan in a cameo. There has been no official confirmation in this matter. Earlier, it was also reported that actress Trisha Krishnan would appear in a special song in the film.

One media reported, citing a source, “The makers will not disclose details about the film. They want to keep a few things as a surprise. A lot of popular actors will appear in special roles in the film and it is going to be one of the highlights of Venkat Prabhu’s film with Vijay.”

Written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT is an action entertainer. It stars Prabhu Dheva, Meenakshii Chaudhary, Prasanth, Laila, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal and Sneha in pivotal roles.
