Fahadh Faasil starrer Aavesham has been making headlines for a long time. The film gears up to release on the festival of Vishu on April 11 by A & A Release. Meanwhile, the team at Aavesham is busy with the promotions. During the latest promotional event in Kochi on Tuesday, actor Fahadh Faasi opened up about his character in the film, which is currently garnering attention.
During the press meeting, the Vikram actor was asked if his look and character were inspired by someone. Replying to this question, the actor revealed vital details about his character, Ranga.
Fahadh said, “He is a Bangalore-based goon, which is why we chose this look. Jithu (director Jithu Madhavan) noted many people that he came across. It helped in getting the right look for the character.”
Fahadh further told reporters that he had never played a character like this before. He said, “I have never done a film or a character like this. My character Ranga speaks in a mixture of Malayalam and Kannada, so it is very different and complex.”
Sharing more about the project, the actor said that he does films that come to him. But when he takes on any role, he decides to give his 100 per cent.
Fahadh further said that Aavesham had a completely different experience acting with young people. Director Jithu gave him a clear idea about the character of Ranga. But the character’s moustache and unique hairstyle were fixed later.
Fahadh’s character Ranga is a spin-off of Chemban Vinod from the 2023 blockbuster horror comedy Romancham. Earlier, comparisons were made between Ranga and Suriya’s character Rolex from Vikram. However, clarifying this, Fahadh said that his character is much more fun when compared to Suriya’s ruthless killer character, Rolex.
Talking about the film, Aavesham is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Jithu Madhavan. The movie is jointly produced by Nazriya Nazim, Fahad Faasil, and Anwar Rasheed.
It stars Fahadh Faasil in the title role, with a supporting cast of Ashish Vidyarthi, Sajin Gopu, and Mansoor Ali Khan. Sameer Thahir is the film’s cinematographer, and the music was composed by Sushin Shyam.
Fahadh Faasil will next be seen in director Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film stars Allu Arjun in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Dhananjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in the pivotal roles.
