Fahadh Faasil is currently starring in Vettaiyan alongside superstar Rajinikanth. His performance in the film, which was released last Thursday, is earning widespread praise. Meanwhile, reports indicate that one of Fahadh’s upcoming films, Bougainvillea, has received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board. Here’s everything you need to know about the project.

The film has a runtime of 2 hours, 18 minutes, and 40 seconds. The makers have already released singles and the trailer, which has generated significant buzz on social media ahead of the film’s release.

Bougainvillea also marks the return of actress Jyothirmayi to the big screen. She is married to Amal Neerad, the film’s director. The movie is expected to hit theatres on October 17, as revealed in the trailer.

The trailer, released on October 9 on the official YouTube channel of Amal Neerad Productions, runs for 2 minutes and 11 seconds. It teases the film as a psychological thriller, focusing on a woman named Reethu (played by Jyothirmayi), who suffers from a memory condition following an accident. She is being investigated by the police in connection to the disappearance of several girls.

The trailer has already garnered over 1.8 million views and received positive responses from fans.

Bougainvillea is being directed by Amal Neerad, who is also credited as its co-writer with Lajo Jose. The cast of the film includes Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Jyothirmayi, Sharaf U Dheen, Veena Nandakumar and more. It is produced by Jyothirmayi and Kunchacko Boban under the banners of Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures. The music in the film is being handled by Sushin Shyam while the cinematographer is Anend C Chandran and Vivek Harshan is doing the editing. A & A Release is distributing the film. Jyothirmayi will be coming back to the big screens after 11 years through the film, the reports add.
