Gurucharan Singh ADMITS Facing Financial Losses After Quitting TMKOC: 'I Was Very Disturbed'
Gurucharan Singh says he decided to start his business after leaving Mumbai in 2020 but it did not work out because of several reasons.

Gurucharan Singh has opened up about facing financial losses after quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In a recent interview, Singh mentioned that he left Mumbai in 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic and decided to start his business. However, it did not work out because of several reasons. As a result, he faced financial struggles and was “very disturbed”.

Gurucharan Singh: ‘My Finances Got Badly Affected’

“Since the pandemic, there have been many things that affected me. I left Mumbai and went back to Delhi in 2020 as my father was undergoing surgery. After that, I tried starting many businesses on my own, but none of them worked out – either the work wasn’t done properly or the people I collaborated with disappeared. We also have a property dispute going on for years and a lot of money was spent on that, too. So, because of all this, my finances got badly affected and I was very disturbed,” Guruchran Singh told the Bombay Times.

Gurucharan Singh: ‘I Want To Pay Off All The Loans’

Singh also sought support from the industry and asked everyone to offer him work. He shared that he is willing to work hard to pay off his debts. “I am asking people from the industry to support me. I am back and want to do a lot of work. I also want to pay off all the loans and debts that I have, one by one. That can happen through my work, and I am ready to work hard. I have realised that I can continue my spiritual journey even while fulfilling my other responsibilities in life,” the 51-year-old actor added.

Gurcharan Singh played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi — a fun-loving man who is always in party mode and never shies away from expressing love for his wife. He was one of the popular characters on the show, and also a founding cast member. Gurcharan, however, left the show in 2013 only to return next year due to public demand. After his exit in 2020, he was replaced by actor Balwinder Singh Suri. Singh has been missing from our television screens ever since.
