Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently on an acting break. She stated this in many interviews after delivering the hit film Kushi last year. It was written and directed by Shiva Nirvana and starred Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. Soon to be seen in Citadel, Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently attended an event in which she was asked about her role model in acting. With such an unexpected question at bay, the actress sought the help of the audience. Amidst the screaming and shouting of answers, Samantha was able to figure out one name which was echoing across the stands — that is, of Allu Arjun. She said that Allu Arjun is her acting role model. While appreciating the growth and talent of the Pushpa actor, Samantha said that Allu Arjun has transformed himself into an acting beast. “I would love to learn from him,” she said while answering the question.
Samantha has expressed her thoughts on the actor’s potential many times during her interviews in the past. The duo was seen sharing screen space for the movie, Son Of Sathymurthy in 2015. It was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Apart from the lead actors, Upendra and Nithya Menon played prominent roles in the film.
Samantha took the audience by surprise after giving a sizzling performance to a song, Oo Antava Oo Antava in Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa: The Rise. As per media reports, she will not be seen in the sequel of the movie. Rashmika Mandanna will be playing the lead actress in the movie.
At the same event, Samantha was also asked about her most challenging role yet. To which, she thoughtfully replied that her most challenging role is the role that she is playing in real life. “Because there is no script and things are thrown at me every day”, said Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She further said that like her, everybody is going through tough challenges in life. Nothing is decided as there is no script to life. She has also gone through various highs and lows during her film career.
In 2022, Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed that she had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Myositis. Now, after recovering, she has decided to spend time with herself, improving her physical and mental well-being. The actress has, however, completed all her prior commitments and is expected to be back on the silver screens by the end of this year.
