The committee’s decision to not invite Kiccha Sudeep has caused a lot of disappointment and outrage among fans.

Every year, the Valmiki Jatra committee organises a fair in the Harihar town of Karnataka’s Davangere district, and actor Kiccha Sudeep, being a member of the committee, is expected to arrive at the event. However, following the ruckus created by attendees last year during the annual fair, the committee has stepped in with the decision to not extend an invitation to the actor to mark his presence at Valmiki Jatra this year.

Reportedly, Valmiki Jatra will be organised this year on February 8 and 9. Fans look forward to Sudeep’s arrival at the annual event. The committee’s decision to not invite the actor has caused a lot of disappointment and outrage among fans. Reportedly, the committee narrowed down the decision owing to the chaos that erupted in the Jatra last year.

Notably, in 2023, Kiccha Sudeep was reported to mark his presence during the annual fair. However, later it was revealed that BJP MLA Rajugowda Sudeep lied and the actor confirmed that Sudeep was not invited. As fans learned that Sudeep wouldn’t be attending the annual fair, they began breaking chairs and creating a ruckus following which the police had to intervene to diffuse the situation.

When the incident caught the attention of the actor, he quickly issued a note of clarification in which he wrote, “Greetings to my friends- I am saddened to know about the incident at Rajanahalli in Davangere district. I had no invitation from the organiser of the program. There was no information about the program. I am very sorry for the incident that happened today. I always have a great desire to be with you. Yours with love.”

As per reports, the last year’s Valmiki Jatra was attended by several prominent personalities. It included former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and current CM Siddaramaiah. Kiccha Sudeep, meanwhile, was last seen in Anup Bhandari’s action thriller Vikrant Rona. He played the titular role in the film. the film also featured Jacqueline Fernandes, Neetha Ashok, and Nirup Bhandari.
