Mannara Chopra has quickly become a prominent name in the entertainment industry after her stint in the Bigg Boss 17 house. Mannara Chopra has always received support from her superstar cousin, Priyanka Chopra. Now, an old video of the duo has resurfaced on Reddit in which Priyanka says that Mannara is not really a ‘Chopra’. It was earlier revealed that Mannara’s real name is Barbie Handa.
In the now-viral clip, Priyanka Chopra introduces Mannara to the media and tells them that she’s the newest member of her family to join the industry. She calls her a ‘Chopra’ but quickly adds that Mannara is not really a ‘Chopra’. Priyanka said, “This is my newest Chopra to, actually she’s not a Chopra. The newest member of my family to join the movie business, this is Mannara.” Watch the video here:

Mannara Chopra had earlier opened up about her relationship with Priyanka Chopra and why she didn’t mention her famous sister’s name on Bigg Boss 17. She talked about their fallout rumours and clarified that their relations are “very sorted”. The actress explained that she did not talk much about her cousins in the Bigg Boss house because it was a personality show and she wanted the showcase her personality.
“If I would take my family’s name, they would have called me a nepo kid. They would have said that I don’t have a personality. Now that I didn’t take their names, they created another story that my relationship with my sisters is not good. My relations are very sorted,” Mannara said while speaking to Siddharth Kannan.
“I didn’t take their names because I really wanted people to see me and who I am, and I wanted to fight my own battle. When I walk into meetings and look tests, that is just me standing alone in those parameters. And after ‘Bigg Boss’, if people in the industry are talking to me, they are interacting with me because of the comfort which I am giving from my end also. Of course, they know I come from a certain family but it is also because of how I project myself. It is all about you at the end of the day. I avoided the names because I knew it was a personality show and I had to show my personality,” the actress added.
Mannara further called PeeCee her “inspiration” and revealed that the latter had a “strong impact” on all their cousins. She also called Priyanka a “strong and independent woman” and shared, “I looked up to her while growing up because I noticed how she could buy things on her own. She could stay in the best of the places, do whatever she wants, and rule the world according to her terms. That was something I imbibed from her. That was something that got inside me.”
Mannara Chopra hails from Ambala, Haryana. She is the cousin of Bollywood divas Parineeti and Priyanka Chopra. Mannara’s mother, who is a jewellery designer by profession, is the sister of Parineeti and Priyanka’s fathers. Mannara’s father is a lawyer. She also has a younger sister named Mitali.
