Actress Kamna Jethmalani shot to fame with her debut Telugu film Premikulu, released in 2005, despite the film not being successful. She was once again lauded for her acting skills in Idhaya Thirudan despite the film’s failure. Since then, there has been no turning back for her and she has displayed her exemplary acting skills in many films. She took a long sabbatical from the film industry following her film Chandrika and wedding to businessman Suraj Nagpal. She has now made a comeback with the Garuda, directed by Dhanakumar and the web series Vyavastha, both streaming on Zee 5.
Kamna has also embraced motherhood and is a mother to 2 adorable girls. She keeps sharing pictures of her daughters on her Instagram feed. In this post uploaded on May 14, 2023, she shared a selfie with them and wrote in the caption,” Happy Mother’s Day to me I cannot thank you, girls, for choosing me as your mother ❤️ It would be wrong if I say that you learn from me ,,, the amount you girls have taught me is unbelievable. Unconditional love, patience, positivity, being happy on the smallest of the things and the list goes on. I love you both. My life now revolves around you both ❤️ I feel so proud to be your mom! God bless you girls !”.
For those who don’t know, Kamna is the granddaughter of the late chairman of the Bar Council of India, Ram Jethmalani. In an earlier interview with the Deccan Chronicle, the Premikulu actress was asked what made her think about making her debut in films despite a legal background. Kamna said that since she is tall and slim, she was encouraged to participate in a modelling contest. The actress further added that she won the Miss Mumbai crown in 2004 and also acted in a music video titled Chhod Do Aanchal Zamana Kya Kahega. This music video by the band Bombay Vikings was a rendition of the hit track of the same name composed by SD Burman. Acting in this track boosted Kamna’s confidence in her ability to act and express emotions.
