Riteish Deshmukh Reveals Why His Children Greet Paps With Folded Hands

Riteish Deshmukh is in the news these days, as the actor is all set to make his web series debut. He will soon be seen in Jio Cinema’s medical thriller, Pill. As the show is all set to release soon, Riteish is busy promoting. In a recent media interaction, he shared the reason why his children always stand with folded hands in front of the paparazzi. The news is currently garnering everyone’s attention. Many have noticed that Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh’s children have greeted paparazzi by folding their hands in ‘Namaste’ multiple times when spotted by them. About inculcating these morals into them, Riteish said, “Paparazzi used to click our photos, and our children often asked why they did this. Then I told them that the parents think that I have been acting for many years and have garnered experience, so they click on my photos. But you have not done anything like this till now; still, if they click your photo, then you should say namaste to them with folded hands.”

Pill is backed by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP movies. The show is said to revolve around pharmaceutical scams and unethical medical trials. The series portrays the journey of a pill from production to consumption, featuring diverse characters such as powerful pharma industrialists, corrupt doctors, medical representatives, compromised drug regulators, politicians, journalists, and whistleblowers.

The series stars Riteish Deshmukh in the role of a CDSCO officer named Prakash Chauhan, who leads the battle to bring a scam in front of everyone, confronting the powerful owner of a pharmaceutical company. The web series is directed by National Award winner Raj Kumar Gupta, and it is all set to make its debut in Jio Cinema on July 12.

Riteish will also be seen in the upcoming Hindi-language comedy horror film Kakuda. The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and backed by Ronnie Screwvala, under the banner of RSVP Movies. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha, and Saqib Saleem in the lead roles. It is written by Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi.

The film was announced by the producer, Ronnie Screwvala, on July 20, 2021. The soundtrack is composed by Gulraj Singh, and the lyrics are written by Manoj Yadav. Initially, the film was scheduled for a theatrical release, but it was changed to a streaming release in ZEE5 for July 12, 2024.
