Contrary to popular belief, Bosco Martis debunked the notion that Salman Khan shies away from hard work.

Renowned choreographer Bosco Martis, celebrated for his iconic dance sequences featuring Bollywood’s biggest stars, recently opened up about his experiences working with industry stalwarts like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Saif Ali Khan. Martis, whose choreography has graced numerous blockbuster films, shared insights into the dedication and professionalism exhibited by these stars during filming.

Hailing from Mumbai, Bosco Martis nurtured a passion for dance from a young age, eventually transforming it into a successful career. His breakthrough came with acclaimed films such as Swades, 3 Idiots and PK, propelling him to national recognition when he clinched the 59th National Film Award for Best Choreography for his work in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Martis delved into his collaborations with Bollywood luminaries and dispelled common misconceptions surrounding their work ethic.

Praising Salman Khan’s unparalleled dedication, Martis emphasised Khan’s relentless commitment to perfection, likening it to that of Shah Rukh Khan. Contrary to popular belief, Martis debunked the notion that Salman Khan shies away from hard work, recounting an incident during the filming of Partner where Salman persisted through 27 takes of the song Maria Maria despite scorching heat in Abu Dhabi. Martis recalled Salman’s insistence on delivering his best performance, reflecting the actor’s unwavering commitment to his craft.

Acknowledging Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s meticulous approach to rehearsals, Martis commended their diligence in mastering choreographed steps. However, Martis dispelled rumours suggesting Salman Khan deviates from pre-established routines, clarifying that occasional last-minute adjustments stem from logistical challenges rather than a lack of commitment. Martis highlighted the demanding nature of the industry, where time constraints and scheduling conflicts often necessitate on-the-fly modifications.

When queried about the superior dancer between Shah Rukh and Salman, Martis diplomatically praised their distinct styles, asserting that both stars boast exceptional talents that defy comparison. Martis’ remarks shed light on the professionalism and dedication exhibited by Bollywood’s leading actors, reaffirming their status as icons of the industry.
