Shanaya Kapoor To Make Bollywood Debut Opposite Vikrant Massey In Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan?

Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is reportedly all set to make her acting debut alongside actor Vikrant Massey in the musical drama film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which is based on Ruskin Bond’s short story titled The Eyes Have It. As per a report by Peeping Moon, the Starkid will be seen portraying a theatre artist, while the 12th Fail actor will be seen playing a blind musician.

The plot explores the intricacies of human connection, including compassion, resilience, independence, desire and self-belief. A wonderful musical backdrop will add to the emotional journey of the lead pairs.

Helmed by Santosh Singh, known for his projects like Broken But Beautiful and Apharan, the film is penned by acclaimed writers like Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla. Backed by Mansi and Varun Bagla’s Mini Films, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan marks their second collaboration with Vikrant after the Forensic remake.

Both Shanaya and Vikrant will reportedly kick off the shooting of Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan in Mussoorie later this month, with the upcoming schedules planned in Mumbai and Europe. The film is aiming for a mid-2025 release. However, an official confirmation of the film is still awaited.

The film will be Shanaya’s second project after her debut Telugu-Malayalam film Vrushabha, co-starring south superstar Mohanlal. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film also features Meka Srikanth, Ramachandra Raju, Zahrah S Khan and Ragini Dwivedi in lead roles.

Shanaya was earlier announced to debut with Karan Johar’s production Bedhadak co-starring Kill actor Lakshaya and Call Me Bae actor Gurfateh Parizada. However, the project was reportedly shelved due to unknown reasons. She will apparently also be seen in a Student of the Year web series backed by Dharma Productions.

Vikrant, on the other hand, is currently enjoying the success of his recently released thriller film Sector 36 which also starred Deepak Dobriyal in the lead. He will be next seen in The Sabarmati Report which is slated to hit the big screens on November 15. Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, the film also stars Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in significant roles. Apart from this, Vikrant also has director Rajkumar Hirani’s debut web series in his kitty.
