Sukrutha Wagle is one of the rising stars in the Telugu and Kannada film industry and will next play the lead role in the film Kapati directed by Ravikiran & Chethan SP. Makers unveiled the role of this Kannada film on YouTube on July 31, 2024. The teaser gives an insight into this film’s thrilling premise which is billed to be based on a psycho-killer.
The social media users can see Sukrutha’s character living alone in a house walking on the stairs and entering the lift with a knife. She even smashes a person’s head with a bottle. These acts committed by Sukrutha’s character, her intense expressions and the background music give an eerie vibe. The teaser concludes with her listening to an old gramophone record and then accidentally pausing it while touching one of its parts.
Kapati stars Dev Devaia, Sathvik Krishnan, Shankar Narayana and Pavan Venu Gopal in important roles. Nandha Kumar, Manikanta Muniraju, Ajith Kumar Aju, Vijay TP, Ramesh J M and Ravi Lee have also acted in it. Sathish Rajendran is in charge of the cinematography. Johan Shevanesh has composed the film’s music while Santosh T is in charge of the cuts. Dayal Padmanabhan has produced this film.
Sukrutha is also a BAR Council Member and talked more about it in an earlier interview with the Times of India. She said," At one point I thought of leaving the entertainment industry because the roles I aspired for didn’t materialise, despite a phenomenal start with Jatta. I pursued a career in law, after being influenced by my sister. I am now a registered member of the Karnataka Bar Council."
Besides Kapati, Sukrutha is also eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming film Martin, written and directed by AP Arjun. This film be released on the big screens on October 11, 2024. Martin stars Dhruva Sarja, Nikitin Dheer, Nawab Shah, Vaibhavi Shandilya and others in the important roles.
