After two hits with Animal and Bad Newz, Triptii Dimri now has Hollywood ambitions. As per reports, the actress is currently looking for an agent to represent her in the Western film industries and is open to even a small part in a film which will help her career.
In a recent chat with Variety, Triptii Dimri shared that she is planning to start auditioning for Western projects and is seeking an agent. “Even if I get a small part somewhere, I think it will be really helpful because I love the way actors work there,” Triptii Dimri said.
Triptii Dimri has earlier praised Priyanka Chopra for her confidence and bravery in moving to another country to restart her career. In an interview with Vogue India, when asked what she admires about Priyanka, Triptii said she likes that Priyanka is really confident. She said, “She is very confident, and it takes guts to go to another country and start your career again. I think she had the guts to do that. There’s so much to learn from an actor like her. I think she’s brilliant in every film she has done, especially Barfi.”
In January this year, during an interview with Hello Magazine, Triptii again praised Priyanka. When asked about the “biggest influence in your life,” she had mentioned PeeCee. “There are many, but I would say my sister. I love the way she leads her life—balancing work and home life. She’s always calm and can communicate well, have difficult conversations; a quality I lack. Among the actresses, it’s Priyanka Chopra [Jonas]—I’m really inspired by her; she’s a very talented, versatile actress,” she had said.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk’s entertainer, Bad Newz, has been creating waves at the big screens. The film has been earning good reviews from fans and critics, and the box office numbers are proof of the same. Within 7 days, the film minted over 40 crores and is inching closer to the Rs 50 crore mark for the ticket window.
Backed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a rom-com that features a fresh trio of talents – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The film’s offbeat storyline, where Dimri’s character finds out she’s expecting twins from two different fathers, portrayed by Kaushal and Virk, has intrigued audiences and sparked curiosity about the movie’s plot.
Vicky Kaushal has also been grabbing attention for his dance moves in the Tauba Tauba song. Besides this, his sizzling chemistry with Triptii in the intimate song Jaanam has also grabbed everyone’s attention. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz also features Neha Dhupia.
