Veer Zaara Re-Release Advance Booking: Shah Rukh Khan-Preity Zinta Film Sells 3,250 Tickets On Day 1
Veer Zaara features Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles.

Veer Zaara, directed by Yash Chopra, is making a comeback in cinemas today, September 13. The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji, was released in 2004. The cross-border love story between Veer Pratap Singh and Zaara Hayaat Khan was loved by the audience and became the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Now, two decades later, fans will have the chance to relive the emotional journey of Veer and Zaara on the big screen once again.

Veer Zaara will re-release in 250 screens across India, with just one show per day in each theatre. Despite keeping the re-release low-key, Yash Raj Films has seen impressive early bookings. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Veer Zaara sold 3,250 tickets by the end of advance sales for its first day in major cinema chains like PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Meanwhile, MovieMax chain sold over 300 tickets, outperforming this week’s new release, The Buckingham Murders. The film is expected to earn between Rs 15-20 lakh on its opening day.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Veer Zaara has been re-released by Yash Raj Films. The studio has brought back several of its classics in the past such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai and Mohabbatein. Despite being easily available on digital platforms, Veer Zaara continues to draw fans to theatres. This proves that watching movies in cinemas will never go out of style, especially when it comes to films that evoke nostalgia for viewers.

Veer Zaara also features popular actors Manoj Bajpayee, Divya Dutta, Kirron Kher, Boman Irani and Amitabh Bachchan in significant roles.

Besides Veer Zaara, Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh’s Tujhe Meri Kasam, Padosan and Bombay To Goa will also be released again this week. Previously, films like Imtiaz Ali’s Laila Majnu, the R. Madhavan and Dia Mirza starrer Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein and Rockstar were also re-released in theatres.
