Taking to his Instagram handle, Vicky Kaushal shared a photo in which he is seen posing in the water. He is flaunting his muscular body. “Gaane vangu mukde thodi aa patlo!” reads the caption. Within 7 days, the film has minted over 40 crores, and is inching closer to the Rs 50 crore mark for the ticket window. According to a report in Sacnilk, Bad Newz earned around 2.75 crores on Thursday, leading to a box office collection of almost 44.12 crores so far.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his X handle to praise the film and wrote, After posting a strong opening weekend, #BadNewz consolidated its status with steady weekday numbers… The healthy Week 1 performance places it in a comfortable position. “#BadNewz has found acceptance in urban centres, but the mass market has underperformed, despite two hit numbers and a well-received trailer.”

Backed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a rom-com that features a fresh trio of talents – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The film’s offbeat storyline, where Dimri’s character finds out she’s expecting twins from two different fathers, portrayed by Kaushal and Virk, has intrigued audiences and sparked curiosity about the movie’s plot.

Vicky Kaushal has also been grabbing attention for his dance moves in the Tauba Tauba song. Besides this, his sizzling chemistry with Triptii in the intimate song Jaanam has also grabbed everyone’s attention. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz also features Neha Dhupia.
