One of the popular directors, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, recently unveiled a major update regarding his upcoming project, The Delhi Files. This film is said to be the final instalment in his celebrated trilogy, following The Kashmir Files and The Kashmir Files.
The director posted a video on his official Instagram handle in which he revealed that he is on the lookout for a new face to play the female lead in his upcoming film. The casting call is specifically targeting Indian actresses or new faces aged between 18 and 25 who have a good command of Hindi. While the director also mentioned a preference for candidates who can deliver their lines with precision and have a youthful, innocent appearance, he emphasised that talent and fit for the role are the top priorities.
Bengali actresses are encouraged to apply, though the criteria are flexible for exceptional candidates. Sharing the clip, he wrote, CASTING ALERT: We are looking for a lead actress for #TheDelhiFiles. Details in the video. Send your audition now to [email protected].” Take a look at the video:

Vivek expressed his gratitude to his audience for the tremendous success of his previous films. Expressing gratitude to the audience, he said that the talented cast has also played an important role in making his films successful. However, Vivek Agnihotri’s films mostly revolve around controversial subjects.
He is also a member of the board of India’s Central Board of Film Certification and a cultural representative of Indian cinema at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
Agnihotri made his directorial debut with the crime thriller Chocolate in 2005 and has directed multiple films since, which failed to propel his career forward until The Tashkent Files (2019), which emerged as a commercial success and earned him the National Film Award for Best Screenplay—Dialogues. He also wrote and directed The Kashmir Files (2022), which emerged as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2022.
