Bollywood celebrities have started doing the visarjan ceremony for Lord Ganesha and also expressed a wish for something or the other from the Lord. Amongst those celebrities, actress Sherlyn Chopra also expressed a wish to embrace motherhood. In an interview with the Instant Bollywood portal, Sherlyn talked more about this.
“Main kai saalon se ye chah rahi thi ki main maa banun. Ya to adoption ke zariye ya surrogacy ke zariye aur ab lagta hain ki bahut jald mujhe ye sukh prapt hone vaala hain. (I desired to embrace motherhood for a long time now. I wanted to embrace it either through adoption or surrogacy. Now, I feel I will become a mother soon.)”
In another clip, Sherlyn was spotted dancing to the dhol music during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The Kaamraj actress performed to the music along with other people.
Apart from her performance at the Lord Ganesha visarjan ceremony, Sherlyn also remained in the news for her recently released web series Paurashpur. The third season of the web series started streaming on the ALTBalaji on May 19, 2024. Sherlyn played the dual roles of Maharani Snehalata and Bhaumika in this series. Paurashpur received mixed reviews from all quarters with the viewers calling the storyline pathetic. On the other hand, some lauded the series appreciating Shilpa Shinde’s acting prowess. The series stars an ensemble cast of Aaryan Harnot, Annu Kapoor, Milind Soman and others.
Sherlyn talked more about this series in an exclusive interview with News 18. She said, “This is like my re-birth and I am thankful to Ekta Kapoor who thought that I am worthy enough to be the face of Paurashpur-2. I have always been yearning to do good work where I could showcase my acting skills and that is when this series came to me. When I was offered this role, I asked myself, ‘What do I have in common with her?”
According to Sherlyn Chopra, she shares a lot of qualities with this character. She added that when someone calls her ‘Rani’, she tells them to address her as ‘Maharani’. The Paurashpur actress said that her character is someone who knows her worth. Just like the character, Sherlyn considers herself nothing less than a winner.
