'We Fully Support Her': CISF Constable's Brother Justifies Kangana Ranaut Slap Incident
On June 6, Kangana Ranaut was travelling to New Delhi when she was slapped by an on-duty female CISF constable at the Chandigarh Airport.

Brother of CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who slapped Kangana Ranaut on June 6 at the Chandigarh airport, has justified his sister’s act. Sher Singh Mahival, who is also a farmers’ leader, reacted to the incident recently when he also backed his sister. He argued that his sister must have become “emotionally angry” following which she attacked the newly elected MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi.

“I learned through the media that something happened at the Chandigarh airport. I now understand that this incident occurred during the checking of Kangana’s mobile and purse. Kangana had said during the farmers’ protest that women were there for ₹100,” Sher Singh said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

“After the argument, my sister must have become emotionally angry, which led to this incident. Both soldiers and farmers are important and are fulfilling their duties in every way. We fully support her in this matter,” he added.

Reportedly, Sher Singh Mahival is a farmer leader who holds the position of organisation secretary in the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee in Kapurthala.

On Thursday, Kangana Ranaut was travelling to New Delhi when she was slapped by an on-duty female CISF constable at the Chandigarh Airport. The female CISF staff identified as Kulwinder Kaur was unhappy with Kangna’s comment on Punjab ladies during the farmers’ agitation against the three farm laws, suggesting they participated in the protest for money. The lady constable was arrested later in the evening.

Later, Kangana issued a video statement to talk about the incident and questioned “terrorism” in Punjab. “Namastey dosto! I have been getting a lot of phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. I am safe, I am perfectly fine. What happened at the Chandigarh airport today was during the security check. When I left after the security check, the CISF personnel hit me on my face. She abused me. When I asked her why she did it, she told me that she supports farmers’ protests. I am safe but my concern is, how do we handle terror in Punjab?” she said.

So far, several actors including Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Urif Javed and Devoleena Bhattacharjee have come out in support of Kangana Ranaut, condemning the unfortunate incident.
