Bad Boys: Ride or Die has injected life into the stagnant Hollywood box office with a groundbreaking debut in both domestic and global markets. This buddy cop movie marks Will Smith’s triumphant return to the silver screen after a two-year hiatus following the infamous Oscars incident. Audiences have enthusiastically embraced Smith’s comeback.
The film also reunites Smith with Martin Lawrence in the fourth instalment of Sony’s long-running franchise. Recently, Smith surprised his fans at a Los Angeles theatre, for the love he has been receiving. The Hollywood star himself shared a video on social media where he quietly exited the Cinemark Baldwin Hills theatre after watching the movie with the public.
In the video, the star says, “We’re in Baldwin Hills, we about to go into the theatre. It’s a ritual I have, I do it like when I have a movie come out on Friday, Saturday. Usually a matinee on Sunday, I like going to theatres.”
The video then captures the audience laughing and clapping in certain scenes, while Smith sat with a mask on his face. After the movie’s conclusion, the actor leaves the theatre and asks, “Hey, I’m glad you all enjoyed that.” A woman responds, “Yeah,” before screaming in excitement as she realises it was Smith asking her about the movie.
Later in the video, Will Smith is seen interacting and taking selfies with the crowd, he informs them, “I was in there the whole time with you all.” Sharing the video on Instagram, the actor wrote, “I snuck into Bad Boys in Baldwin Hills last night. It was SPECTABULOUS. Where should I go next?”
