Zayn Malik's Sisters REACT To One Direction Member Liam Payne's Death: 'I Have No...'

Zayn Malik’s sisters Doniya Malik and Waliyha Malik mourned Liam Payne’s death. The One Direction singer, who was in the band with Zayn since its inception, died on Thursday — October 17. Liam died after he fell off his hotel balcony in Argentina. While Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson are yet to react to the news, Zayn’s sisters took to their Instagram Stories and shared their thoughts.

Doniya Malik shared a picture of Liam and wrote, “Heartbroken,” along with a broken heart emoji and added, “RIP.” Waliyha Malik shared the same picture and wrote, “Literally heartbroken. I have no words (crying, sad and broken heart emojis).” She also shared a series of photos of Liam and Zayn.

Liam and Zayn had a turbulant relationship. The duo was put in One Direction by the team of X Factor, alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. They formed the group, One Direction thereafter. The boyband became insanely popular, with the group breaking records on music charts. However, Liam and Zayn did not get along. After the group released four albums, Zayn announced his exit from the group, in March 2015.

Zayn went public with his negative comments about the band. However, Liam maintained that all was ‘fine and good’ between the members. “If he feels hurt and scorned in some sort of way that I don’t really understand, that’s down to him so there we go,” Payne said on The Dan Wootton Interview in 2017. “It is very sad because One Direction was a wonderful, wonderful time in all of our lives.”

Eventually, in 2022, Liam Payne revealed that there were ‘many reasons’ that he didn’t like Zayn. Appearing on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, he admitted he had his issues but added he’ll ‘always be on [Malik’s] side’ too.
