Hrithik Roshan Feels 'Truly Honoured' As IAF Band Shares Rendition Of Fighter Song
Fighter features Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor, in the lead role.

The much-anticipated film Fighter is all set for release on January 25, a day before Republic Day. On Wednesday morning, actor Hrithik Roshan shared a video that captured the Indian Air Force band covering ‘Spirit of Fighter’, a track from Fighter. The military band used drums, saxophones, flutes, violins, electric guitars, and more to recreate the energizing song.

The video of the Indian Air Force’s band was interspersed with scenes from the movie. While sharing this video on X, Hrithik Roshan wrote, “The Indian Air Force band’s powerfully rousing rendition of the Spirit Of Fighter theme echoes in the skies and makes our hearts soar. Truly an honour!”

This video has already gained thousands of likes within hours. Commenting on it, an X user wrote, “Everything about Fighter has been Amazing and Top notch! Really hope that our Audience supports this film. It is not every day Aerial Action films on IAF are made. That too at this scale.”

The Spirit of Fighter, the track based on the national song of India Vande Mataram, is composed by Vishal and Shekhar.

Fighter is an action film directed by Siddharth Raj Anand. It stars Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor, in the lead role. The film’s premise reads, “Top IAF aviators come together in the face of imminent danger, to form Air Dragons. FIGHTER unfolds their camaraderie, brotherhood and battles, internal and external.” This film is believed to be the first “planned aerial action franchise” in India.

In a recent interview, Deepika Padukone dedicated the film to the Indian Armed Forces and said, “What makes Fighter more special is that this is our tribute and our thank you to every single fighter out there who puts their life at risk every single day so that we are safe.”

Previously speaking to Zoom, director Siddharth Anand addressed a question about whether ‘Fighter’ was inspired by ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and said, “I think it is inevitable. As a filmmaker, you have to be prepared that if you make a film on planes they will call it Top Gun because they have no reference point so they believe that we are not so creative, that we will do things that are a rip-off. We need to start looking at our films with a little bit more respect and not constantly believe that things are being ripped off. People do get inspired, even in the West, by content that is created in the East.”

As per figures by Sacnilk, an Indian box-office tracking portal, Figher has already sold 1,08,784 advance tickets as of January 23.
